McFarlane for the trim system parts, right? You already know?

Fo’ Sho. Looking forwards to a smooth trim system mine never felt great.

I don't really know if the cuffs will add a perceptible difference in airspeed, although one could make the argument for less interference drag. You will for sure like the way they look. Here's another "speed mod" that was on the original equipment list of my 180. After much looking, I found spares.
I've always loved the original aluminum wheel pants, but I can't use them because i still land at my ranch airstrip. (To call it unimproved is an understatement).
Also, my wife calls them wheel "panties"...

I'm just looking for cosmetics. The rubber doodads are deteriorating. They're one-piece, so I believe you have to drop the strut to replace them. But the cuffs are split.

I do like those panties. Houston H has something similar, but I think his are fiberglas.

I was admiring the wingtips on a straight backed 172B yesterday and stand amazed on the craftsmanship of the old birds as displayed on the brake cover. The fillets between the wing and fuselage are another example.

Saw this 180 on Saturday. I've seen it before in it's hangar with the floats on it. This was the first time I'd seen it in the wild and had a chance to speak with the owner. What a nice machine!!! He's got the P-Ponk upgraded 470, amphibious floats, hydraulic skis mounted on their own set of gear legs, perfect paint, beautiful panel, leather interior, etc. He's also got an MT prop with beta. He said it makes a world of difference when he's docking. Before he took off, he put the prop in beta and backed up a few feet

A beautiful Cessna!! C drivers usually don't show off their special advantages till it's necessary. Most hate to make the B crowd feel insecure. :tape: :hide:

I wonder if that’s a composite cowl? No visible seams anywhere.

I would love to get a ride in a Skywagon. I'd actually like to trade some Skywagon time for some turbo Mooney time.

So if there are any Skywagon owners in Denver, preferably BJC, who would be interested in showing off their airplane, I'd love to see it and go for a ride.

Thanks,
Paul

Still doing little improvements.

Does anyone have installation drawings for cowl vents? I have vents and drawings, but I've seen other vents that look lower than my drawings put them.

Does your STC allow you to choose placement?

It's a minor mod.

Probably Selkirk. Looks like the one he did for me. The large doors on each side were removed, just two small doors for adding and checking oil.

Change of subject, but I read a headline today about a possible AD coming out on 185s, and earlier 180s and 182s. Cracks in the tail section. Does anyone know which model 180s they are looking at?

Edit. Found all the info. An extension of a Cessna service letter... Inspect and repair of required.
