Dunno. We squawked it

Yesterday, I needed a short break. It was a beautiful day, my friend, Wayne, was at the airport woking on his bent 195, so we decided to stretch the legs of my 180 and have some fun. Since he is a CFI as well, we made it an early BFR as well. I put the 180 through her paces with different methods of short field takeoffs and landings. Nothing we hadn't done many times before, but it was still fun and the 180, again, showed that she is a pretty impressive airplane. Easily on or off the ground in 400' and cruise speeds to rival a stock Debonair. An interesting note, before installing wheel pants, there was no way I could get an actual break from stall with power. I can now even though the AS indicator says I'm not moving at all. The power and smoothness I'm getting from this new Continental rebuild exceeds my fondest hopes. It's nice to love what you have. Jg

It is. It's a Garmin. I will let you know in June. THey just put it back on floats and calibrated it. Won't fly until June.

Flew into the home strip for probably the last time today. Perfect day for it...blue skies and light winds. Maybe the new owners of the land will let me drop in from time to time....

I replaced my wheels and brakes using an airframes Alaska kit. Very happy with the product.

Grove 10" wheels and brakes. Dresser slicks. Spend some money.
