Loading order. Front seat passenger first. Then slide the loaded front seat as near the panel as I can considering knees, then load the rear. I provide the muscle to move the seat while standing outside. If I have a less nimble front seater I can load them first, and rear seaters can shuffle in from my side after the passenger seat is locked. I climb in last.

This is my default. PERHAPS if I have a super nimble front seater, I can consider loading them last but I almost always use the quoted technique. Seems to cover most scenarios in the best way.

Unloading in reverse order.

I haven't had to resort to stools even for my stiffest passengers. I tend to use a bit of muscle to lift and load. Of course, people can't be offended for inappropriate touching = sometimes a push is required RIGHT NOW and any hand-hold is in order.

I’ll have to try that. On the pilot’s side, the back seat passenger obviously has to get in first. I was just extending that to the right side, but it can be tough to get a leg in front of the front seat when it’s forward of the doorway.

Nice article about Johnny Cash here.

Initially I got stopped by the paywall, but right clicked on it and opened it in "incognito mode" /google chrome.

Spiffing up my flap handle. . . .

The bushing below the knob is loose. Does it ever need to come off, or can I just stick it on with a little epoxy?

Paul Harvey very briefly had an advertisement from his sponsor, JB Weld. The advertisement said since JB Weld was good enough for airplanes (as suggested by a writer from Arkansas), then it has to be good enough for everything. Good Day!

I used 3M yellow to hold it. Just in case it needs to be removed later.

Looking at the parts manual, I don't think there's a reason to remove it at any time. I checked mine and it was tight.

Now that AD 2020-21-22 has been released, feds are giving credit for complying with SEL-55-01, which is a good thing. How many have completed this inspection? I did it in March during the annual, luckily found nothing.

I’m in the middle of an annual now. I sent the AD to my A&P. He’s ghosted me.

New Year, New Insurance.

Until recently, BWI was THE place to get Skywagon insurance, with their "Skywagon plan." Lately, I hear nonspecific grumblings about them.

I've been totally happy with AVEMCO, but I really think it would be wise to have higher liability limits than they'll give me.

Who's a knowledgeable broker for Skywagons? I was considering AOPA/EAA/Falcon. Also considering the guy who brokers for the floatplane I get to fly, if only to help protect myself from subrogation.

Stu,
I've used Wings for all the Tail draggers I've owned.

I use Ladd Gardner Aviation Ins., He's insured both of my airplanes for the last 8 years. He is also a 185 owner and general all around nice guy.

I'm using BWI, my renewal comes up in June. Last year I only had a small increase on the original hull, although I increased the hull value after a complete avionics upgrade and factory engine which thereby increased the total.
