They had it in the 70s-90s. Was used by the athletic department to fly coaches around in from what I was told.

Just bought a project E55 Baron for 21,500. But i'll have upwards of 50k to put into it before I get it how I want. Engines had 3&6 hours since top overhaul but have sat 7 years, surprisingly clean since it was hangared and not sitting out getting weathered.
Holy cr@p I am going to need to check my logs. I was an Auburn University CFI way back in the day.. although the aviation department kicked me out because I declared Accounting as a major (paid better back then)..

Yea it’ll be a project but airframe, paint and interior are all in really good shape. Going to have the engines/props overhauled, new fuel cells and go from there.

I've been watching that one for awhile. I was wondering how cheap it was going to get before someone bought it.

Not a tail dragger, but I got my Cherokee 180F for less than 20k. I've put at least that back into it, especially with just installing a used 530W and dual G5's in it now. Didn't need to do that but it sure is nice now. :)

Lot’s of good replies here but, surprisingly, nobody came up with the right answer.

Question: What does $20K buy you in 2019?

Correct answer: The opportunity to spend a whole lot more!
