My Dad and I took off on a seven day adventure, 36 flight hours flying round trip across the USA, ocean to ocean.

Just finished editing the Westbound part of the trip to the Pacific Ocean.

Eastbound to come later....

Hey Dan, great video! Trip of a lifetime can't wait for part 2. Spent a week out in Portland back in September of 2017 and we drove up to Astoria and spent a couple of days on the Oregon coast. It was as beautiful as advertised. Couldn't do the Columbia Gorge because it was closed down due to all the fires. The weather ya'll had on the coast was a true gift. Thanks again.

Stoked that you landed in Bear Lake County, thats my weekend Stompin' Ground. How was Hank??

Seemed like the other runway would have been easier on that approach??

Great video and plane!

Dan,

You could make this even more interesting if you included block to block speeds and fuel burns.

Wind was 240. Runway 28 was the favored runway. Everything else would have been either tailwind or stronger crosswind.

Didn’t record them. It cruises 160 knots true around 10 gph 50° ROP at altitude.

Drat :grr: , being an old Mooney owner, I like when they can strut their stuff. Even my Bravo would give me 12 nmpg at 185 KTAS. :woot:

Dan,
Loved the video, thanks so much for sharing, what an adventure and to get to do it with your Dad in priceless.

The Astoria area is so beautiful. Hope you guys did fly some south down the coast to see the rock formations they are incredible. Also drove the long bridge over the Columbia River over to Washington. There is a neat museum there that shows a lot of the history of the area along with the perils that all saliors face plying those waters.

Really, really enjoyed this makes me want to do it. :D

Great video - thanks for sharing

Quick question....when you are approaching the runway I hear a announcement of what runway and feet remaining. Is that from the Garmin ?

Thanks
Wayne
