He worked for Mitsubishi doing promotional stuff which I figured Mike would enjoy....and any other MU-2 fan. The book also contains cool paintings on B-17 and other military airplanes. Rgs Patrick

In the third video our gangster hero runs his hand across the nose and smells his hand. He gimmances. Any ideas?

Someday, I hope to find someone who knows Japanese and can translate the dialog. It was obviously part of a larger production, wish I had the whole thing. Seems campy. The MU2 parts might be an example of very early product placement. Mike C.

Or something a director did just because he didn’t know any better and thought the scene needed more action. That happens right Adam F?
As a pilot we are super critical when watching aviation scenes...not something I had ever seen before or ever contemplated doing before.

I've absolutely no clue on the 'third' video, but my WAG is:
The hero is the chief designer/pilot who has been arguing the plane is ready to fly, but quashed by the legal department, who insists that it should be a four engine airplane. More smaller engines are cheaper!
He throws his hands up and sends a letter to the nepotic CEO and informs the CEO that he will fly the miracle aircraft this Wednesday. He enlists his 2nd cousin who works in the Post Office to ensure the letter arrives with the Wednesday mail, just prior to his intended flight.
He heads to the airport Wednesday morning at mail delivery time to show it's time to 'crap or get off the pot'.
He arrives, wipes the spinner, and smells - ugghh, salt spray - this thing needs to fly! Moves to the tailpipe and sniffs - arrghh, this thing hasn't run for weeks!
Suddenly, his 2nd cousin screeches up in his black car, and tells our hero - letter delivered - light her up!
Our hero jumps in and completes the 1st test flight of world's greatest ever twin turboprop airplane. The legal team arrives to the airport too late to stop the historic flight, but witnesses the brain jarring drop to nose gear upon landing after main wheel touch down.
The End.

The End. And three Asian gents who were part of the ground crew lost their hearing, thereby forcing an engine change. The End.

Why did the MU2 go out of production? Seems to do what it did pretty well. put a G3000 and a couple of PT6's on it would be a nice plane.
