Never heard of a plane being referred to as a man.

Congrats

Of course not! You are a man!
To me, he is Charlie but to my partner, who named her after his wife, she is Cindy Lou. Guess we are politically correct with a trans-gendered plane. No comments necessary!
I also bought him on my husband's birthday and told him he now has a plane and pilot at his beck and call! (Joe was born on Halloween and I was born on the 4th of July. Some of our friends call us Bang and Boo!)

There should be a footnote to the horoscope excluding aircraft. No one ever regrets spending money on planes. Have fun with with him/her.

Well done. Congrats.

I'm biased, but I think it's absolutely one of the most versatile airplanes flying.

It is a plane I can fly the rest of my life and not worry about finding parts (a real problem when I had the Travel Air although I loved flying it) or someone who can work on it. The insurance is so much cheaper and it will outlast me! It has less than 900 hours on it and the engine has less than 300 hours on it. (When they started building the 182s again they had a hours or years dependent engine life so it had to be replaced at 600 hours as it timed out.)

Murray, you met my partner, Jim, at Oshkosh. It was pouring down rain at the time!

Sidney, you are so funny! Or should I say   :peace:
I do plan to do lots more Angel Flights, Young Eagles and ChallengeAir flights in their memory with Charlie in addition to flying it to my seminars!
Was just at the big Angel Flight Central "Wine Flight" fundraiser last night and told them about the plane. Have done 47 flights for them so far and have a goal to hit 50 soon. My husband plans to retire in January (or at least cut back) so he will be able to travel more with me.

And his name is Charlie Lima. (Full name is N621CL.) Purchased him on Halloween but just flew him for the first time yesterday as an owner.
I had borrowed him in the past to do things like Angel Flights for wheelchair kids as it had 2 doors and is easier to get in than the Archer or Saratoga. Also had gone to Oshkosh the last two years in it with the owner (and now my partner).
After the deal was done, I read my horoscope for the day - oh no! And then on Facebook my friend posted the cartoon below!
Charlie is a 1999 Cessna 182, steam gauge with a Garmin 530 and Garmin transponder ADSB in and out which is just fine for me.

Congratulations Jeanné! Now you have to plan some fun trips!

Careful. These type of relationships usually end in significant financial restructuring!

Congrats on the purchase. :woot: One can't go wrong with a 182 for all the reasons that you mention.
