Curious what the Beechcraft braintrust think of the above.

I got a demo ride in an M2. Felt right at home in the cockpit, but the crew seats are a little tight for guy my size. (6'2"). Don't know about the others. But if they want to offer me a demo ride, I'd be sure to come back and write a full report of my findings. :D

I think they are all "Over-wing" fueled?
My customers with HondaJet complain that the "single point" fuel dribbler isn't great.

SPPR is pretty darn cool. I don't think any of the entry level stuff has it.

- M2 or P100E pretty equally matched. Depends what you value. You can't do better than Cessna Citation support & service. Check real world TAS and range between M2 and P100E.
- HondaJet seems to be shorter on range than the others

Good article comparing the M2 to the P100 & HondaJet- https://www.planeandpilotmag.com/article/textron-aviation-cessna-citation-m2/

Phenom 100E all day long. Bigger cabin, airstair door. Looks like small GV.

Phenom wins in the looks dept. M2 and Honda will probably be close in the performance dept. M2 will likely have an advantage in runway performance on most days.

I shouldn't have even posted because i'm not familiar with the 100 "E" and what improvements were made besides avionics, and what I know about the Honda is only what I've read on Beechtalk.

When I compared the CJ/CJ1 (which is what the M2 is in all practicality) to the Phenom 100, the CJ's won out for me in the performance and support side. The Phenom is a better looking airplane. If snow and ice are routine issues, take a look at the wet and contaminated tables for these airplanes. None are very inspiring, but in my research at the time, the CJ's were better, not by a lot, but slightly better.

Phenom still uses boots on the wing leading edge. CJ uses a boot on the Horiz Stab, but wing is bleed air. Phenom has elec heated windshied. CJ uses bleed air (noisy). I believe Honda is bleed air on the wing, and elec windshield.

I just like the look of the HondaJet the best. Seems like they're addressing some of the range shortcomings in the new model.

M2 takes it by a neck.

Though as you no doubt read, there are many threads already weighing the merits of each.

None of the above !!!

I dont know Michael but with fuel prices going up I would stick with the TBM if I were you.

Marc.........that’s just it. It’s hard to beat the TBM for 95% of my trips. Range is at least on par if not better than the above jets. Total flight time differences are 10-15 minutes?
It would be nice to get higher over some of the weather.

A new 900/930, expensive though it is, is less than the jets (not counting Cirrus). Maybe drive a hard bargain on the trade in of the 700, get under $3 out of pocket (maybe) with maintenance covered for five years. Hard to beat for a guy like you who already has one. But I know that buying a jet is not just an economics question.....

I can't speak to the HondaJet, but own a Phenom 100 (non-e). I am familiar with what the FADEC upgrade can do to it's performance. Range is no different, Farthest I have gone was 1050 NM into a 30kt headwind and I landed in VFR right at my minimum fuel reserve (550lbs). At FL410, the 100E will get maybe 350-360 depending on weight and temp. At or near sea level the 100 is going to need at least 5000 ft runway if there is any sort of contamination on the surface. Taking off is not far from that requirement either if its wet out, all due to the brake control unit.

I love the cabin and interior of my 100 and its ramp presence. To be honest, someone told me the new price of an M2 is very similar to that of the 100E (that may be wrong). If they are similar, then I would be hard pressed not to pick the M2 every single time. I know it will climb faster, it can hit 400TAS at FL410 and it has several hundred mile range more. Don't forget when comparing payload that Cessna includes a 200lb pilot in the weight of the aircraft.

Also, I'm sure there is some debate about this, but I was told Williams includes corrosion under their engine program and are much easier to deal with than Pratt on their program. Don't know if there is truth to that or not.

So if price is similar, for me, I want the slightly extra range and performance.

Williams Tap Elite Blue engine program covers corrosion provided you follow their engine wash guidelines.

The experiences I have had and others stories I have heard are that Williams does the right thing for Program customers. Pratt stories have been different.

Yes. About as honest as you will find. Took me about 2 years to figure out what you said in one paragraph. I will add this: a very highly recommended SP instructor said the Honda is not the way to go. Didn’t go into details, but I think it has a fairly high Vref. As an aside he said the P300 is by far the best SP light jet. He flys the PC24 next month. The M2 will land on just about any 4000’ strip I’m told.
