C-500, C501 etc....

Which models are inherently single pilot, and witch models have the SP STC that requires 500 hrs of turbine time?
Currently have a third class medical, do any of the Jet SP stc's stillrequire a 2nd?
(I have about 400 hrs twin time and 150 hrs of pressurized twin time, zero turbine time)

Only the 501 is natively single pilot. The 500 requires an SP Waiver.

If you can put up with the company BS, a shiny $600K Eclipse jet would be a lot of fun instead of a ragged MU-2.

As I said in my first post, if I thought the company would survive to support the product an eclipse would be perfect.
Where would one go to learn about the different eclipse versions ie 1.7 2.08 etc....

They aren't all ragged....

I don't think ours is ragged.
Maybe it could use a new panel and some freshly overhauled -10s lol. #lottery.

An interior refresh is easy, especially on the Mu2 series.

https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news ... tructuring

"One Aviation announced today that it has "entered into a consensual restructuring" arrangement that includes a capital infusion to maintain existing operations, as well as a voluntary Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. The move comes four months after reaching a last-minute agreement to settle overdue rent on its facilities in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and continue support for its Eclipse 500/550 very light jet."

1.0 is Avidyne and flies in hdg bug and alt mode. ILS only and waas if 400W installed, won't couple anything. You are screwed if you lose a screen or a probe, radar doesn't work and windshields don't work.
1.3 is IS&S screens, no probes or screens either. radar works and so does the heated windshield, still won't couple anything.
1.5 is a 1.3 with new probes and screens and will couple an ILS and fly in NAV mode
1.7 is same as 1.5 and adds a crude moving map
2.08 IFMS of various versions will do everything and is a real airplane.

You are getting a multi-million $$ airplane for 25% so that's obviously going to come with some baggage.

Michael - my 2-3 Times comment was based on inspection plus fuel costs. Even local mechanic estimates I got on cessna inspections were much higher than the mitts. It just seemed like you are always inspecting something on the citations. The 4 blade prop AD is not that expensive unless you are unlucky so other than that and the engines, Solitaire doesn’t have much to worry about beyond 100hrs.

If I had confidence I could run a 501 for the same as my Mitts over a 10yr period I would buy one in a flash

Thin mu2 market is thin bc owners can’t find anything better to upgrade too :-)

The local mechanic doesn't know what he's talking about. A 1-4 is about $8-10K every 2 years, and the 5 is probably $15K every three years. Attached is my 1-5 bill that included replacing windshields, blower motors, and pretty much every other Citation inspection known to man due to the plane having sat 3 years. On top of this, I had about 10K estimated value in parts (used windows).

So, $40K is literally the worst possible scenario to bring a dormant one back to life and do every inspection possible in the manual. The little goofy inspections like inspect fire extinguishers, etc. are of such little cost that you don't notice them.

Mits 100 hours are $10K right? If you fly 200 hours a year, that's $20K a year in inspections.

I would wager there's been some price creep since 2007 (11 years ago)...

I would also wager that there is likely huge variability from shop to shop. That said, those inspections seem awfully inexpensive. I guess the question is, what other parts tend to break?

Don,

I think you are looking at the revision date of their accounting/invoice form. I just did these on 8/13/18. Form was revised in 2007. Not sure what you are getting at here? Are you implying that I am posting 10 year old receipts so as to trick everyone into getting a 501 so I can cheaply acquire their MU-2? Actually not a bad idea!! :D

But, in all seriousness, this was 347 hours in labor of which around 100 hours was the new glass installation.

Mike

If someone wants to look at the inspection costs, Attached is the SierraTrax that explains everything that was completed on this invoice.

Here is Sierra's price menu for Citation inspections that will give you another data metric.

https://manualzz.com/doc/8582519/cessna ... -500-501sp

I'd love to see some actual invoices on MU-2s for:

1 year
2 year
10 year
600 hour
1200
1800
7500
8500
9500

Same thing on the 331 100,150,300,400.
5000 10 year
5 year hoses
prop AD.
