19 hours ... ugh. 14+40 is my personal worst. Never, ever, again.

I did the 19+ hr Newark to Singapore route several times 2004 to 2006, fortunately in business class on SIA. It wasn't too bad.

I did Gaithersburg, Maryland to Santa Barbara this summer in single day.

We left 515 am EDT and arrived 745pm PDT.

Of course I had my two sons, who are both rated in the Baron with me, and we switched seats along the way.

Mom packed a cooler of food, and dad brought enough pee (portable Johnies).

Scotland to Cleveland into the sun for 11 hours. Extremely boring, my eyes just needed to be closed when I got to the hotel.

My longest flight was a 5hr 45min flight in a coach seat, in the middle section aisle seat, in the back of a 767, on a red eye from LAX to Minneapolis. :grr:

I'm a big guy 6' 320, so my knees got beat up on the seat in front of me, and the nearly 200 lbs. flight attendant walking up and down the aisle woke me up each time she bumped into me :bang:

The only reason I bought a coach seat was because after we missed our flight (which we had first class seats on) the next first class seat available was 2 days later. If that happens again, I'll get a hotel room and wait on first class.

Have done 16 many times. Would gladly do 19 to avoid the stop on the way to Singapore. Frankly 19 hours with Singapore airlines is pleasant.

Thought thread would be about this-
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flight_endurance_record

Not sure how anyone could stand 64 days in a 172, or 30 days in a cub.

I personally will always chose a direct flight over a stop, so this makes sense to me. If I need to go to Singapore I just want to get it done and not waste another 6hrs on a stopover!

Longest I've done myself is LAX-Dubai on the 777-200LR at 16.5hrs in coach. It was pretty rough, but at least Emirates coach is better than many others.

14.2 hours, single pilot, night, formation, 6 hours in weather, chasing a tanker. No autopilot. Followed by a 14.1 the next night, same as above but no wx. I was much younger then...

Longest non-stop was going over the pole, about 11-12 hrs as I recall. Made a few 10hr flights between OR and AK in the Glasair.

Longest days have been flights between AK and AZ, a couple years ago the wind made the trip take about 16 hrs. (3 stops) The cats and I were ready to call it a day. Most trips are 13-14 hrs.

How about Wayne Collins flying his Bo to Australia? I don't know the exact times, but I know it was very long.

Stu Goldberg also holds the record for non-stop/non-refueled flight from San Diego to Nova Scotia and back to San Diego, over 6000 nm, in a 1976 V35B Bonanza. 30hours 59minutes and 55 seconds.

My longest flight as a pilot was 6 hours and 15 minutes, in my hang glider. About 15 minutes longer than my Cardinal.
