What drone are you using? Mavick Next movie will be using the shot we achieved, there was a GoPro in Jughead's wingtip, pointing at my airplane, it came out pretty good.

Thought that Cessna looked familiar. He landed it at our Ranch in Texas back we he still lived in Del Rio. Had a lot of great times with him during our time with the Patriots Jet Team. Great pilot and even better person. Please tell him hello from Eric and Erica. Also ask him about the time his Cessna got put on Static Display on accident at the Davis Monthan airshow. Heres a couple of photos.

Username Protected wrote: Time for a 180, Larry. Naw, a 170 is all you need! I grew up pulling these shenanigans in a 170 in the back country of Washington State... N1296D was my steed. It was a 170A (small flaps), but someone later parted it out and transferred the N# to a 170B for some reason. You have to learn to slip the "A" model pretty good because of the ineffectual flaps. The 180 is cool, but sometimes overkill for just bangin' around. Great video! What a hoot! Thanks for sharing! ~ ME

My bad for dissing the 170. I have always loved them, especially since my family bought a brand new one in 1954. That airplane made our cattle ranching operations into a reality. I fondly recall the beauty of the empennage, which I thought looked just like the B-17's on the pictures my uncle showed me of his in England during WW II. My dad and his brothers decided on the 180 because they needed to haul bulldozer parts, dynamite for building roads, airstrips and dams, horseshoes, branding irons, saddles, etc.
Best,
TN

Yeah Tom, You definitely needed a 180... maybe even a 185. Can't believe you folks had a new 170. How great was that? I used to borrow a friend's 180 hp converted 170B w/ STOL tips quite a bit (N2380D), and it did really good... so Larry might look into that too. Get the knock-around economy and performance, keep the patina. With big jobs though, as they say... there's no replacement for displacement. ~ ME

Instead, we went to a new 182, 206, and a T 206, which was hated because of the nose wheel thingy. Here's a picture of the brand new 170B, which replaced the Luscombe. We could get to the Sierra Madre without having to use the clandestine fuel cache... The revolver on my uncle's belt went from his armpit to his knee. Best, TN

I envy your family, Tom. What was the N number on that airplane, do you recall?
