Maybe I'll go next door and pick up a case of Hangar 24 Orange Wheat and put it in the baggage compartment. Ya know, just in case I have a forced landing out in the boonies and have to wait a while for rescue.

Those fuel selector numbers got my attention; check the AD's and see if those numbers should be 75 , and 37.5,37.5.
By all means, check, but I think my 182 K was also 79 and 39/39.

The AD reduced the usable fuel in 2 gallons per side. The placard must be 75 and 37/37 in all the long range rubber fuel tanks. Here is an image of the corrected placard. There are many 182 still flying with the wrong placards. Not a problem until caught.

Picked up the 182 today from the Cessna dealer at Cable airport. I had them install the inertia reel on the pilots seat in case the lock pins on the seat track ever let go. It was free to have it installed as Cessna is paying the bill on these.

That's a good upgrade to get. I had them install it in both my C182 & C172 but I thought that offer ended two years ago.

If you ever consider doing any panel work I have the CAD layouts for both sides of the panel on the 182M. I had a new set waterjet cut when I had the EDM930 installed.

Thanks Jose; that's what the placard looks like on my '75 182P, Plus I have new placards at each fuel filler. When I bought my plane it had a Knots ASI as primary, but by serial number my plane was suppose to be MPH ASI, later 75's in knots. Because the previous owner had changed all the speeds in the POH from MPH to knots, I ordered a new POH from Cessna and it had the revised fuel capacity numbers in it. I also installed a new ASI in MPH.

Check the alignment of the cable end fitting and the clevis (on the seat). The Cessna kit for my 205 results in a misalignment of ~0.25” that results in cable failure where it is swage’d into the cable end fitting.

The cable failed from work hardening after ~75 flights. I filed a SDR and contacted Cessna - Zero interest from Cessna re: their design misalignment

I'll have a look at it this weekend.

Thanks.

So not only did Cessna build a poor seat rail and seat that necessitated a secondary system they then screwed that up too? In my 182 we have little clamp thingy that goes on one seat rail.

So, I got a surprise the other day by my good friend Anthony Chan from AC Air Technology the manufacturer of the AC Track Tug. He prototyped me a tug for the 182 with the wheel pant. Right out of the box this thing worked great! I still have to do a little more testing with it but so far this looks like a winner. It should also work on my RV6A with some adjustment.

To light up the ground when It's dark especially if you have marks on the floor that you need to align with.
