Those lights can point in any direction as they are movable.

So, it seemed a shame to have the Sportsman STOL wing on my Cessna 182 without vortex generators so I decided to add them from Micro Aerodynamics. I got the templates installed today on the wing, vertical stab, and the underside of the horizontal stab, and my I/A stopped by to inspect it and gave me the thumbs up so I'm set to start gluing. I had the generators painted to match the paint scheme om the airplane and thanks to Anni at Micro Aerodynamics as she was able to figure out how many generators and colors were required on the tail because of the stripes. I'll post more pictures when with I have them all installed. Dave

Username Protected wrote: Yeah, heres mine getting the sportsman stol. Right side is all riveted, left side is cleco’d. Unfortunately i did my VGs before i figured i wanted the sportsman so they have been removed so that they can be moved forward after the build. Mike, When you go to put the VG's back on the location fixture will be different for the Sportsman leading edge and it will be confusing. I stopped the layout on Saturday and emailed Anni asking her how the tool is used with the Sportsman. She directed me to the FAQ's on how it's done. This instruction is NOT in the installation manual. The photo is how it is supposed to be used with a stock wing but as you can see there is a 1/2" gap on where to make the mark. Dave

I have not flown. I’m taking care of some business and won’t be able to for a few weeks. Looking forward to it.

I'm NOT! I'm NOT! I'm NOT! Yeah, sure ya aren't. I got the wings all done today and the VG's look great! I also painted eight VG's Royal Blue that intersect on the tail stripes. Whoever said it only takes a day to do this is full of bovine excrement! But I'm having a lot of fun doing it. Dave

I'm NOT! I'm NOT! I'm NOT! Could just buy a 3rd 182 with STOL kit already installed.
