Robert We did the same and it gives you so much more than just ADS-B. Shortly after we shot the LPV approach into KEDC rwy 31 and broke out at 210 AGL. JetTech should have the 750 update 6.50 for the Primus 1000 by the end of this month. I think it is a big improvement with the new Vnav functions.

In fairness you did say all the bells and whistles. I was trying to point out that if all you want is adsb it is much less expensive. If you want to add WAAS it’s more pricy. One caution. Jetech stc is needed to add a G600 or txi system. Can be done in 550 or straight V. Not a 550B or ultra encore. If you just want WAAS and ads-b it can be done by field approval saving 35k. Park Rapids Avionics has done a bunch. Did a 550 for me. 750/650/510 Garmin. ADSB. 75k

Just as an aside, I don’t think our local FSDO will field approve anything. I mean anything. They’re soooo busy.

I hear you. It's already done. Question: will the Autopilot fly the LPV Approach?

Did anyone with a citation V convert to Garmin G600s and dual 750s? I’d like to hear if and what the weight savings were also if it was a large improvement in reliability and reduction in cost going to G600s. (I don’t believe the G700txi is available yet)

I'm not a fan of the Bravo, I DID NOT SAY THIS... A Textron Salesperson said it to one of my clients on a conference call "Sure, Tim, you can buy a Bravo... but you'll be the last owner."
I kid you not.
IMHO the issue is this, other than the engines, the Bravo is still a 550 and that market is saturated and prices are suppressed. Combine that with engine program on an engine that isn't an FJ-44 and I'm concerned about future resale ability.
The V / Ultra has always been one of my favorite Citations, it is a hoss of an airplane that has very good range and decent speed.
We bought a V a couple of years ago, that client recently resold it and it held it's value very well... we are currently buying an Ultra for a client and I can tell you that the market is hot.
I ran a wanted ad for an Ultra and had twice as many V's presented to me than Ultras. So, I'm thinking the V market is where the opportunities are.
The V does have more options for the panel, but the Ultra with the JetTech solution is pretty sweet.

Thanks for the feedback, that’s pretty much how we felt. Liked the trail link gear on bravo, lower fuel burn and possibility of newer than 2000 year model. Ultra was the best performer but you’re stuck with the primus 1000 (although you can upgrade to LED screens, but costly) and -5D engines can get expensive also. We ended up finding a V that met our needs. The V market seems to do well for aircraft with time remaining and priced realistically. You probably know better than me but most of the Vs currently on the market are priced similar or in some cases higher than Ultras.
With the gross weight mod, the V has a 1100+ useful load and it’d be nice with removing old heavy avionics if you could go full fuel plus 1300+lbs.
