Don’t you just love being able to stretch your leg into the other side of the cockpit? Makes cruising a bigger pleasure!! I wish you could do that in a KA.

If you come to a sudden stop that's gonna hurt.

At 132 kts over the ground you'll have a bit more time to stretch out. :D

I clicked on the picture to see more detail of the GTN and panel... like the 132 kts GS... and right away noticed I was looking at the Motagua Valley and Lake Izabal. Hit the back button to see who posted.... hola Patrick!

185 may not be fast, but you are the coolest guy at the airport when you land.

Its not all about airspeed. The measure I subscribe to is what was left behind!

I know.... There was some headwind. Actual TAS was about 143. Still on the slow side, but that is what fixed gear and bubble windows do for you. A NA 210 with the same engine (520) with the same power setting would be about 160 kts TAS.

But not as cool

Strap on floats and your down to 115-120 kts, skis about 120-125 kts.

Maybe he has the last laugh. Look at that fuel burn ;-) I'm burning 2.5 times that in idle

Stretch between the rudder pedals in the KA. I pulled the cabin dividers out to get more room also. I wish more airplanes had room to fit your feet between the pedals to stretch out.

Used to fly a Piper Vagabond and solo you could sit in the middle of the bench seat between the control sticks with foot on pilot and copilot outboard rudder pedal. Seat belt was a single lap belt like the tilt a whirl.
