I have a 58 Cessna 182A and am looking for a part number or link to the rubber horizontal stab abrasion boots.

Did they have a special boot? I replaced the leading edge tape on my '72 172 not long after I got it, it was the same stuff that 'Spruce or Chief sells.

Tape is no good, won't protect against rocks. There is a rubber boot I used on my other 182 after I sufficiently dented up the leading edge.

I have the boot on my 182, but I don't know the part number. I believe it was installed someplace out west by the previous owner after dinging the tail on a mountain strip...

Find an old deice boot and cut it to shape, lol.

The boots I put on my last 182 were not a flat piece of rubber, they had a nose on them that was about 1/4" or so thicker plus it was essentially preformed in the shape of the horizontal stab.

These guys might be worth a phone call: http://cessnadirect.com/mk182-55-01a

My long-time partner put boots on our '58 182A soon after we got it in the mid-70's. I'm fairly sure they were formed to fit the leading edge as you described. This company has been around for quite a while, so this could be where he got them. It's been a long time, mileage may vary.
