Big deal.
There are way too many ignorant articles which equate "private plane" to "evil". Not a good thing.
Mike C. "She used the bus. She used the plane." But did she use the bus at each airport to take her down town after getting off the plane with the appearance of a bus tour? I don't think it has anything to do with an evil image of airplanes, it has to do with being disingenuous, appearing to relate to the common folks.

Thought politics were allowed here.... To quote Claire: just sell the damn plane, after it was pointed out she kept it in Illinois to avoid PP taxes. Probably gonna get banned now.. But I'll bet the plane is worth more than $1 million. Here hubby has a nice construction business. ........ Oh, the things i want to say...

You will never read a story of a politician flying around in their plane and having their RV follow along. It's "news" because there is a plane involved, and that taints people who have them. Mike C.

It's a low wing, so it's a Piper. Cessna's are all high wing. We all know this!

"A 500K RV?"
It's still ground transport.
"It's news because a plane is involved, and that taints people who have them"
I think it taints Clare Macaskill for billing her tour as an "RV tour." It's more likely it was an RV tour for her entourage. People know some politicians use airplanes, but they don't normally tell the people they traveled in a fancy bus.

Can't we just always speak in dripping irony and sarcasm?
Simple. There is only one name that has graced these forums with such satirical success. The rest of us need green font.
