That is a handsome small airplane. Not Toy Like in appearance at all. Well done Tecnam.
Interesting comparison on the XC trip, sometimes we don't like to think about how much extra we're paying to go a little faster and carry a little more.
I'm happy to have the extra capability for the infrequent times I make use of it.

The economics are interesting. We were discussing the cost of ownership. The fixed costs will dwarf his variable costs. He might as well fly the Tecnam as much as he can with such low fuel burn (and the engine prefers cheaper auto-gas.) The Tecnam will do 110 knots on 5.5 gal per hour (126 mph) so almost 23 statute miles per gallon. That economy coupled with a good autopilot and the ability to climb out of the Texas heat makes it an attractive cross country machine. Then again, he can't wander to the back of the airplane and go to the bathroom like I can in the Caravan at 50 gph (3.5 mpg).

I don’t know if you remember me but messaged you about your Super Legend a while back and got to see it not long ago in Sulphur Springs. I absolutely love the Tecnam P2008 and Rotax engines. Glad you got to experience both! The 914 turbo is great. These engines are so easy to operate indeed! With the prop pitched at 5, you can easily see 125-127 knots true on 6 GPH. Pretty great economy!
