I did not see information this when I did a search of the thread. Does the 1st version of the Citation Jet have altitude limitation for anti ice operation? I hear FL260 since ITT limited. Can anyone confirm? thx

Ah thanks. I think it is an SE item as you eluded. The c501 I flew notes anti ice in visible moisture down to -30 I believe.

I actually know of no time that it is allowed to be turned off below 10c in visible moisture. I think people get confused because they are trained that ice won’t form on wings below -30. Not true of an engine prob. Bwtfdik? Nice thing about FADEC is that it changes the power when you turn on engine heat. The bad thing about FADEC is that is changes the power when there is a problem with the engine prob heating system. Have been several one engine roll backs as a result. Easy to fix....but if it catches you at the wrong moment it will test you.

There are no such limitations on the CitationJet - from a performance standpoint, the de-ice system affects performance but not to the extreme mentioned in the article (would have to go to the performance tables and look), and there is no such FL260 ITT driven limit.
These are the only limitations on the OM and AFM for the de ice system.
