Have been flying a 2004 Cessna 206H with Gamin 1000 and KAP 140 A/P. In still air the A/P works very well in all modes. As soon as the aircraft experiences a little turbulence the A/P rocks the wings Left and Right in small movements like it is chasing the track. it does settle after a time but starts again at any sign of turbulence. This happens in all modes including Roll. If you resist it a little it seems to settle quicker. Avionics have check just about everything and still not come up with an acceptable solution Any bright ideas from Anyone.

Bob Weber at http://www.webairconsulting.com. I’ve seen him referred to as an autopilot guru here on BT. I have no personal experience with him but other members have.

I don’t have any ideas, but I did have the same experience in a similar year C182. I put a video camera on the dash and when I played it back in a fast forward mode it was more obvious. LB

We had the same problem (putting pressure on yoke would stop the problem) on our T206H with same equipment, and avionics shop replaced roll servo. Fixed the wing rocking.

Most probably a worn gear in the roll servo, quite common on old KAP140ies and cured easily.
