Not gonna touch the twin v. single debate! To each his own in that arena. Then you're not a Cirrus customer. Nothing wrong with that. Cirrus is in the business of making money. Their marketing and products reflect that. They are satisfying "the demand" that exists for aviation. Something all those guys in the "GA is Dying" thread don't understand. The Single v Twin debate ended decades ago.

The SF50 is a single. They're shipping. We'll see how many they can build a year once they get to full steam.

Seriously? 400 Pounds per Hour at takeoff thrust? I don't think so. I thought the SF50 burned around 435 pph at cruise, which by my wet and uncalibrated finger would equate to something like 1500 pph or more on the takeoff roll. Think more like 40¢ per second.

I'd like to know the answer. All I know for sure is that the takeoff flow on any aircraft engine is the highest of the flight, and several multiples of cruise flows.
