Maybe TAT will come out with a STC to put a jet engine on a Vtail Bonanza?

How are these comments an insult to Cirrus owners? They're just comments on what has to be the world's ugliest airplane. Owners aren't mentioned at all...

Lighten up.

It always reminds me of the German Heinkel 162.

That turbine looks so small. Don’t see why they couldn’t have mounted two of those little suckers back there. Then you would have had a centerline thrust twin jet WITH a chute. Can’t imagine anyone complaining about that.

Put two engines on it, make the tail normal, and certify it to FL410.

It would climb faster, cruise faster, and go farther, but who wants all that performance?

Normal tail reduces trim drag, reduces wetted area, increases stability, reduces weight from no mixer, smaller surfaces, and no extra yaw damper, reduces control friction, reduces cost to make, reduces cost to maintain.

I'll tolerate ugly if it comes with performance.
