A lot to like about the M2. It's basically what used to be a CJ/CJ1/CJ1+ in the most up to date form. The best part to like is the G3000 avionics suite and the integration. The rest is pure CJ with blinglets/wing tips that look cool but don't provide much other than looks.
Good 2-3 place airplane with 1100 mile range. Good 4-5 place airplane with 800 mile range. These are approximates of course.
Range for the short body CJ's is in my opinion the only real negative. Good manners. Reliable. Excellent support. The airplane is like a Labrador retriever, it will give its best effort to please the master everyday.

The only difference between the above is how much you want your acquisition cost to be.

M2 is the gateway to the CJ3+.
Understand the ownership costs and complexity.

Vaporware
The Premier has all the liabilities of a mini jet and none of the benefits of a large jet. I'd love to have a Premier. Wish it had better numbers.

I never understood the concept of "entry level".... why? I agree, why buy something that's entry level, buy what your gonna fly. Life's to short!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

John, Fltplan go has the M2 as a standard profile if I remember right. Friend had one before he moved up to a CJ3+, my dream never to be plane. Bot the M2 and CJ3+ have the G3000 which is and excellent set up and the A/P is to die for with the 3000.
This is in response to my Question on KEVV to KRIL. "The M2 will do that trip with no problems. In the fltplan.com Quick Info section, I can see the trip is 950 NM with an average headwind in January of 55 knots. With those conditions, it will take 3:00 to do the trip and consume about 2400# of fuel, leaving you to land with 1000#. If the headwinds are actually 100 knots, you can still make it just under 3:30, still with fuel minimums. I have done similar trips many times with the M2 and it is not a worry. The Mustang will not do that trip. The M2 flies almost all the time at 400 KTAS. When heavy and hot, the speed may drop down to 390 KTAS or so at the highest altitudes but I don’t think I’ve ever seen it cruise below about 388 KTAS. In colder temperatures, it will fly about 410 KTAS. At those cruise altitudes, it is normally burning about 700 PPH of fuel."
540 LBs useful at full fuel but I think that includes 170lb pilot. Sorry not sure, but I believe Cessna's #'s always include pilot. If i'm right then useful the way I look at it is 540+ 170= 710. someone correct me if I'm wrong.
