I vote for the Citabria on PT. It looks awesome.

I spent a couple of years owning both C120 and C140. They were really fun tail wheel learners for me. Then I found a heck’uva deal on 1953 C170B on tri gear! After converting back to it original tw confguration, I had nine great years of cheap flying fun for myself and family. A docile, if slow, airplane. Back then, I wasn’t too concerned with weight restrictions as I had only a light wife and two small children, otherwise just me (and I was lighter then, too). Over the ownership period, I topped the C145-2 (try to find one with at least an O-300-D and vac pump), reradio’d it, IFR certification, added Clevelands, an alternator, and a new one piece w/s. Flew it all over the SE. Wound up selling for more than twice the purchase price; so, virtually free ownership, except for operating expenses. Wish I had it back . It wasn’t outstanding in any particular category but, not too bad in any, either. A great hundred dollar hamburger airplane and fitted my need at the time. You might want to check on Walter Atkinson’s airplane, if he still has it. MM
