My friend and Cirrus sales rep, Sam Huff, stopped by Spinks for a quick show-and-tell. I've been in early model Cirrus and thought they were nice. I got in the new SR22T and was blown away. I can see why they keep selling soooo many new aircraft. This sucker is very well thought out, from the key fob, door handles, wing tip edge lights, panel layout, button layout, etc. Maybe Beech isn't pouring a lot into GA because they simply can't compete. After the need for the Navajo is gone, I can see me and wife owning this. Sam is in Addison (just north or Dallas) and his job is to give rides. Contact him if curious, 972-206-7753, shuff@cirrusaircraft.com.

Is this the same Sam Huff that worked for Avidyne?

Not a fan from my assessment or at least not in our part of the world, and I would think less so in the USA. A used PC12 would be far better.

The Da62 is an amazing machine - too expensive as it will compete at that price with much more capable planes, but it is astonishingly cool.
But I agree, if you haven't flown in a Cirrus lately, you are missing out.

You are talking about essentially multiplying by 3-5 every acquisition, operating and maintenance event These aircraft are not even remotely in the same gene pool of performance and utility, and the skill and training required to safely operate a DA62 (monkey level stuff) to a PC12 (real pilot stuff) is also in a different ballpark. The DA62 competes well, but comparing it to a PC12 is like comparing Apples and Steaks

Yes, I agree, you are quite right......I just don't like them that much
If you want to compare, buy a Baron. This is BT after all.

Sorry Mike. I didn't take any interior shots. It is absolutely beautiful inside. You can always contact Sam.

I will be in Fort Worth later this week and will give Sam a call. Cirrus had a really nice event last Tuesday in Nashville. They just sold their 7,000th SR aircraft. I bought a new one in 2006, very impressed with the fit and finish. A friend of mine took possession of his Vision Jet a couple of months ago. It's a dandy for sure! Mike Brown Go Frogs!

I'm thinking of buying a SR22 to use in a local dry lease arrangement. (I'm not selling my Baron)! When I look at one I like and then do a NAAA appraisal on them, they are always way overpriced over the appraised value. What gives? I am trying to sell a pretty clean T-Saratoga now and its not sold yet and its priced well below appraisal value. Is it that they are that popular, and all the new pilots infatuated with glass that much. I really don't get it.
