Curious if anyone here operates a Falcon 10. How do you like it, what does it cost to operate and can you still find parts etc. Have heard wonderful things about its flying qualities.

John and Martha King have written some great stories about flying and owning the 10.

My only datapoint is a friend who flies one a few hundred hours a year. He budgets about $800k a year and that has held true for 17 years. The plane is in perfect condition and he is going to part it out if that tells you something.

I have over 3,500 hours in Falcon 10's
Best handling / flying aircraft I have flown.

I am not sure how you could spend $800,000 a year for "a few hundred hours "

Well at $4,000 an hour times 200 hours that equals $800,000

That is a very comfortable, operation,
but way too many variables,

fly yourself, save +80,000 ( no Capt. on salary )
MSP is not needed any more, so there is another $88,000 per year saved
having maintenance that knows and understands these, aging birds
is very critical , being fuel smart and managing fuel costs is important,
and more so in these AC as they are more thirsty, than most light Jets.
if not then , I can see getting up near those numbers.
If these are managed , and owner flown , then the numbers come way down.
Also 200 hrs a year is a lot of flying for a single private owner, that means approx.
92,000 statue miles of travel a year

I used to fly for an operator who bought a Falcon 10 as the lower cost jet for shorter trips or fewer passengers. What could burn so much Jet-A it makes the Falcon look Cheap? A Gulfstream GIIB.....

Both fun airplanes! The Falcon was an absolute delight to fly, and when you see it taken apart for an inspection you will marvel at the robust build quality and redundancy.
