Hi guys,

I've been lurking here for a while and am planning on attending MU2 Prop 2018 in Florida (first timer). I was wondering if anyone on here had any suggestions for the best things to see/do while there.

Also, I'm tentatively planning on flying commercial down there, but would happily fly out to someone else to catch a ride in a MU2 if anyone else is going, in order to see the place first-hand. I'm near NYC so I could travel to a variety of places to catch a ride.

Cheers,
Eric

That is wild that this plane is no longer in production BUT it is supported by the manufacturer and they still provide training for it!

Destin has great golf and one of the best beaches in America. If you drive to Pensacola, there is an incredible aviation museum.

Talk to other MU2 owners.

Take in the presentations.

Visit the vendor room.

See the MU2s at the FBO.

This year will be a bit different as Mitsubishi is running the show instead of Turbine Air, so it will be interesting to see what the program is like.

I'm flying KEVV to PROP. Going down April 18, Wed, leaving probably around 1 pm CDT or so. Returning April 20, Fri, after the event, so around 6 pm CDT or so. Usually a rush of departing MU2s at that time, so it may be later.

Probably will fly to KDTS airport, the designated PROP FBO. Will be many MU2s there. Flight time is 1:45 still air, so say 2 hours with winds and routing.

Presently, my plane is empty, just me going. I got 5 empty seats, so anyone is welcome to come with me if they wish. Email me at mikec (at) ciholas.com.

Yes, attending PROP is free, including the food. Lodging and transport isn't, of course.

Where to register:

https://www.regonline.com/builder/site/ ... ID=2079611

I've attached the agenda.

Unlike previous PROPs, there will be only one date and one site this time (typically they did 3 sites and dates in the past).

Anybody with an MU2 want to pick me up in Jacksonville FL? Split some cost. Just want to ride in one. If not I’ll take our 421 and be the quitest plane landing that day.

No, every two years, at least historically that has been the case. This makes it kind of important to attend if you have any MU2 interest in the next 2 years.

This year is the first where Mitsubishi is running the show (They used to contract Turbine Air Services to do it, but that contract ended). Despite that, the "usual suspects" from TAS will be there and are on the agenda.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the offers. I ended up making arrangements with another MU2 pilot who is a little closer to me. I'm looking forward to meeting some of you down there.
