Hi All,
Just showed up at the hanger to a pool of blood (I mean dye) from my left prop. One blade leaking. C87 McCauley unfortunately. 200 since overhaul but that was 10 years ago. I’ve made a few calls already and have one shop that might still have enough parts to overhaul them both, but looking at 12k total. Haven’t found anyone yet who would just do a reseal. Any recommendations? Plane is in Madison, WI.
Options? Not really interested in $32k for a new set of Hartzell’s or Mac’s. What’s the best way to find a used set that isn’t the old threaded style? It’s a non turbo 310R.

I had the same issue except it was red spray behind the prop. I elected to get Hartzell's and still have 2 boxes full of C87 parts. Just haven't gotten around to selling them yet. The ferrules or hubs or whatever you call them are the hard to find parts. Happy to help any way I can. PM me if interested.

I spoke with Cody Stallings at Stallings Propeller. GREAT GUY!! He walked me through some trouble shooting and as of now it looks like this may have been a one off situation. He had me vent the hub, clean everything off with mineral spirits and run it up with several cycles of the prop. As of now, it's perfectly clean. I'll leave it again overnight with the same blade in the 6 o'clock position and hope it's still clean tomorrow. If so, l'll also fly it, feather it and check it again after landing.
Thanks for all the prop shop recommendations!
