Love the 180. A faithful servant, loyal friend, and companion on many adventures. Easy to work on, and about as expensive to operate as your average lawnmower. Makes friends. Not excellent at one particular thing , but good at everything. It's the keeper.

The thing about a 180 (great airplane) is that it doesn't make the noise.

A 195 makes the noise.

My ranch is four miles from the airport. Every time Wayne fires up a 195, if I'm outside working, I can hear him on takeoff. Nothing sounds better than a radial, nothing.

Here is what we like to make round noise with... arguably, the R 985 is to pipes what an organ is to a Cathedral.
