Can anyone give some round numbers are what you would expect an overhaul on an IO-470 to cost? As well as what you would need to do to be ADSB compliant and what that might cost? Looks like currently its a Garmin 400 gps and an old king transponder. Just looking for round figures while I chum around an idea. Thanks

Two engines, two props, all the trimmings and giblet gravy, about $100k out the door.

ADSB $5k.

In round, start the ball rolling numbers.

I will have to check. Notice that only the outer two are led. The nose wheel is conventional. Any guesses as to why?

You want the heat to warm your hands after hooking up the towbar?

To the OP Ben,

Have you already bought? Buying a plane already done is the best way to go in this market. There are many 310/Baron’s out there with a lot of value. If you already own a 310, I would take John Cruce’s offer.

Or how about, LED’s won’t fit in NLG light holder.

LED’s won’t melt ice. Conventional will.

K, I did think of that, except it’s in the wheel well until shortly before landing.
Also did you know the Alphabeam II’s have a heating element to melt ice (par 46 size only right now though).

Well the reason I ask the question is when I was really young growing up my grandfather had a Cessna 310 that he used to fly us around in. I'm assuming that's where I got the bug to fly. Anyway he sold it about 15 years ago and I looked it up today and found out its in Alaska. I spoke with the owner and he said he is trying to sell it. The left engine only has 250 SMOH, and the right has about 1400 SMOH. Basically new props on both sides. So basic math in my head thinks that the expenses coming up are the right engine and ADSB.
