Many posts reflect many opinions about MU2s. I am very curious to know from the highly esteemed Beechtalk crowd how many pilots would even go flying in one if given the opportunity? Let's assume fully qualified and experienced pilot and well maintained aircraft with favorable conditions. How many of you would pass just because you have concerns that the plane is inherently unsafe?

I would fly in an MU2 for sure. It has always been one of my favorite aircraft...I really like the screaming sound they make on startup. I would drive out to the airport just to see and hear it if I knew one was starting up. I think they could use the sound in rock music!

Another question is
“would you buy a MU2 or something else if you could afford it “

I would in a heartbeat. But maybe not in icing conditions, or with bad weather, or with a new MU-2 pilot, or one that doesn't do the special training, or maybe not with....... Just kidding, it would be a thrill. And I don't think they are all that ugly. A little short and stout for sure but not ugly.
