I thought the "standard" in a PC12 cabin is just one plug in the back for headsets. No-one ever wears them in the cabin. That's how ours are configured. In the cockpit, heck yes, even though it is not hearing damage loud.

We installed the 5 blade Hartzell last year. I can’t give you a decibel # but there is less noise. I would say it reduced vibration more than noise. I’m told the MT 5 blade reduces decibels more than the Hartzell.

We installed the Hartzel a few months ago. I did a before and after reading with my iPhone DB app (at the same altitude and airspeed) and there was no difference in the reading, but I can tell you that it is quieter. I’ve seen it posted that those apps don’t work. I’ll agree with Luke, it is quieter and less vibration. I’ve asked several of my frequent flyers and they report a decrease in noise in the cabin. Up front, the noise level seems higher pitch and lower levels, but no substantial decreases. Our plane came with the Bose travel headsets with the 10mm plugs for the cabin. No one ever wears them. Sound levels are low enough in the back for normal level conversation. Most of the sound in the cabin comes from the cockpit. If you open the lav door (which closes off the cockpit), it gets real quite in the back.

In addition, if you have a 5 blade prop, there is no longer a 950 rpm limitation. This raises engine temp too and it's not a quick fix. Mine takes about 5 monies of fiddling with before it manages itself. Easier just to INHIBIT ACS. Besides, once the plane is hot, it doesn't cool down no matter how much the AC runs. You gotta climb to colder air.
Pilatus could certainly improve the logic of the start sequence and the ACS. The start logic should enable ACS when the generator output is below a certain level.

2 different TBMs 850 and 930 with the fancy new prop - I haven't had the pleasure in a PC12 yet.
That's awesome they're that quiet. When you were helping your buddy shop recently - I think I remember reading you looked at TBMs what was comparison like?
Thanks for the response

I was surprised this PC12 going so slow on an extended final, dragging it in at cessna speeds.
Is it typical to slow down so early? In visual? 200kts.

Is it typical to slow down so early? No, that will drive controllers nuts. I’m with Mikko, 200 knots. Then slowing to instrument or visual stabilized approach criteria. Gear speed is 180 but once the gear is out the PC12 can be slowed quickly. The first 15 degrees of flaps takes 21 seconds to deploy so you must start lowering flaps sooner than later, the rest come out fast.

Is it typical to slow down so early? Who flies a 7 mile final? Ha. I'd be full speed till a bit closer in. Drop gear at the FAF if IFR then flaps etc.
