I was looking around controller on Lear 31/35 and Citation 500 series and noticing how cheap they are. I wonder if there are worth more in parts especially the engines or is it not a good investments to buy those planes to part out? Not sure if anyone on here has experience parting out legacy planes, any info would be appreciated.

If you buy one its the engines you buy and the rest is a bonus!

JT15s are worth about 100 an hour plus 10K for core. That's a pretty safe metric.

Twenty years ago you could buy a 20 series Lear for the price of the engines. I’m sure there are equivalent aircraft today.

The same with the Jet Commander in the 80’s, and then at the turn of the century, GE powered Facon 20’s, JetStars, Viper powered Hawkers, Pratt pwered Sabreliners, ect. MM
