I love pictures on Google of white leather interiors but I'm sure it's a headache. My plane gets too much traffic and I sit up front anyways so.....

Alrighty, got to get a tour of the 1st Planesense bird. George A met us over at the bird at KFLL. That thing is built like a tank, we went through most of the systems and I can tell you know that airplane is better built than the P300 and the CJ3+ airplanes. It's simply fantastic. The layout is awesome and the cabin is noticeably bigger.

For tall guys like myself, the pilot seat is frigging awesome. I would say it has the most room of any jet I have sat in. It's got copious amounts of space.

They're doing 440knts and going straight to FL45 at 4k a minute. Even though it has a sorta swept wing, it's quite fat and wide. Landing gear is damn beefy and the wing sits way lower on the ground than I expected.

Once they get passed serial #20 and there is one available, I'm getting one.........it's that damn nice.

Seems like a really nice plane. I don't care much for the design, but the specs speak for themselves. And I'm really impressed at how quickly they managed to certify it. Hope you get one, Penman!

The test pilot told me it was capable of operating off a 2,500' grass strip with ease.

It will, they had it into Steamboat Springs with no problem...........

They have some great promotional shots of the airplane in Telluride too. David and Debbie Young took a flight, so hopefully they will offer a report from the back.

It's quite a bit wider than the P300. After seeing the 24 I have no desire to own the p300.

They have spoilers and brakes that are hard core on the 24. So far they think that runway contamination will only add about 400 to 500 feet for landing.

Pilatus meets all aviation needs with the exception of transatlantic with 2 airplanes. Amazing. How "they" gonna compete with that?

Well, if you're looking for something to buzz around in the pattern in then no..... those 2 planes aren't for you. But Pilatus does build planes good for buzzing around if that's what you're looking for.

I gotta ask, where is the lav in this thing? Is it right behind the cockpit? I can't find it in any of their brochures and it doesn't look like even talk about it. Also noted they quoting 440kts @ FL280. I'm wondering what it'll do a higher altitudes since that's where it'll fly most often.

Agree, it kills the P300 and CJ4 in cabin space. I think the P300 has around 330 cubic feet of cabin (not much over the PC12) and the 24 has around 500 cubic feet plus a walk in baggage area of over 90 cubic feet.

The test pilot was telling me about the braking system. Spoilers deploy in stages, first based off wheel rotation and then using weight on wheels. They have put a lot of thought into this. He said when doing short field ops, you can just stand on the brakes on short final and the system won’t let you pop a tire.

I hope it ends up working better than the Phenom system.
