Selling Citations is fun work! Today was a fun day. Took off IFR in the Baron , flew to my “office”, flew to pick up the new 550 owner, flew back to office, flew home to my grass strip. I hope when I’m dead my kid remembers these experiences. If you’ve ever had a 5 year old copilot, you can imagine the questions they ask!

I just did a trial run (taxi around) with my 3 year old in the car seat in the back of a 172, he's been up in jets and the baron, but never solo with me in anything. I can't wait to take him up soon enough.

My 9 year old isn't real interested in airplanes, but he loves to fly helicopters. Every once in a while I bring one home from work and let him fly. He does pretty good!

He suggested we add lasers. I have to admit lasers would be pretty cool. (Oh c'mon, you all want lasers too. We are just overgrown 9 year olds.)

My kids (4 and 1.5) have lots of bonanza time.

Thanks for posting!

Michael, that brings a joyful tear to my eye, and a lot of fun memories, when I was that 5 year old boy. Flying with Dad, he always said, I was his favorite copilot. Things I will cherish forever, and I know your son will too.

Thanks for posting

I dunno if anyone still does so, but 30+ years ago, many of us would bring a kid or two to the tower on midshifts. Most brought a kid’s sleeping bag and the youngsters were generally asleep by midnight, but my middle son was a computer whiz, and I had him doing command line clearance amendments in the FDIO.

That's my brother and me (I'm in the back) in my Dad's K35, think I look anything like my Charles?

Aviation memories are special.

If one copilot is good, two are better!

My 6 year old loves it (when temps are moderate). Will take my 3 year old this fall.

My favorite thing is flying with the kids, got to fly with the big one to Switzerland/Italy a few weeks ago, here she is drawing the Matterhorn on the way into Stans.

This young man has been flying with me since he was about 3. At age 9, he is much more cautious about how he flies, but one of his favorite things is when I let him follow the Hudson River. He likes gently weaving back and forth.
