I've sent some pictures of Michael's Klingon Jet to friends saying he was Lt. Worf on Star Trek, but they say Lt. Worf was Michael Dorn. Maybe a different series of Star Trek?

Look at one of the early pictures Micheal posted. I believe he bought his plane from Lt. Worf.

No, you're correct. This was Michael Dorn's old airplane and he was Worf in the series and the movies. The Klingon ships were called "Birds of Prey". They could cloak their ships; I installed the STCed cloaking, warp drive and chemtrails systems (both mind control and mass sterilization) last week.

Went to La Romana in the DR last weekend. She looks like a toy compared to all the heavy iron.

The runway used to run through the resort and they flew 727s out of it. Given I don't play golf I spent my weekend mapping out the old runway.

Based on your optimistic estimates of operating cost, some of the mind control agent might have blown back into the cabin.

Might check your sperm count just to be sure...

Probably correct Mike. I just don't really care what it costs to operate and I think that's the only way you can approach something like this. I love it, my wife loves it, it's really safe and comfortable and you can't take any of this with you so I might as well spend on something that makes us happy! If it gets to the point where I'm not having fun, I'll get rid of it. Sperm count A OK, wife is pregnant and we go in for the 3 month ultrasound tomorrow. The checklist did say to not test the chemtrails on the ground with the reversers deployed though to avoid retrograde cabin sterilization.

FL410 - 330 kts / 500pph near ISA

Klingon at FL410 is virtually identical in speed at 700pph ISA.

Eclipse was 350 PPH at 350kts; now that's some serious efficiency!

Both the Eclipse and the Klingon Bird of Prey run at out steam and usually wouldn't make 410 unless ideal temps or after burning off some gas. Is the Mustang similar?

Both Citations are excellent machines with a clearly shared DNA.

No, the Mustang has always gone direct to FL410, even at MGTOW. However, if the temps are above ISA +2, the TAS will suffer.

The efficiency differences between theses airplanes centers around their operating weights. A Mustang is 2,000 lbs. heavier than an Eclipse. Your 501 is almost 4,000 lbs. heavier than a Mustang. Thus, the heavier airplane required more energy. Lots of trade-offs.

From the flight planning guide:

(columns are 8645, 8000, 7500, 7000, 6500 lbs takeoff weight)
Attachment:
510-climb-fl410-chart.png

Described as "cruise climb", 170 KIAS/0.44 mach, so not clear if this is maximum performance or not.

Seems it will make it to FL410 at MGTOW and ISA, but if it gets warmer, step climbs start happening. At ISA+20, you need a step at FL370 and FL390, and then you basically never get to FL410.

The JT15 engines can't match the efficiency of more recent jet engines like the PW600 series, so some of the 501 differences are that.

I’ve found that the Mustang always outperforms the flightplan guide. And like I said before, if it’s warmer than ISA +2 at FL410, there’s no point in going there. FL390 will work better.

Did you check to see if the tops of the ears are pointy? Known hazard when riding in Klingon Birds of Prey.
Either way, congrats dude!

Hopefully you remembered to install the placard "Chemtrails operation is not approved while cloaked!" I didn't see it on your panel.

Congrats on the new passenger! It will be cool watching them grow up at KOSH over the years. See you in 2019!

I would not let my two Tasmanian Devils around your IV-P when we saw it but may beg to see if they can sit in your 501SP if you bring it to KOSH, shoes removed of course.

Really great day today working on the Klingon. My elusive skydrol drip into the nose gear (coming out of the brake reservoir) is now officially fixed. After chasing a few wild geese at another shop (not fixed), I put my old Eclipse friend/mechanic and his partner on the issue. We were able to work as a team and approach the problem analytically (versus tossing pricey parts at it randomly) and determined the left shuttle valve was not shuttling. A shuttle valve is a little device in the brake caliper that shuttles between normal hydraulic fluid and emergency nitrogen. If it doesn't shuttle properly then with normal break operation, hydraulic fluid will enter the pneumatic lines and then drip out of hole in the nose gear well causing a nasty mess on the belly of the airplane. We disassembled the shuttle valve and cleaned the gunk out of it. It shuttles perfectly now. We then blew the lines out with nitrogen (a ton of fluid was in the lines)

Airplane is running great!

Be sure to bleed the hydraulic lines as well. You don’t want nitrogen in your fluid.
