The 510 is a classic aircraft that defined a new market, the single pilot jet. There was not a single thing about it that was a technical breakthrough, other than the idea itself.

I bought this machine. It has 800 hours left on the motors. I flew it back from Van Nuys. At FL370 it burns 120 GPH and goes 352kts. I'm happy with it. I start my type rating this weekend. I think there's no better time to own a legacy Citation than now. Parts and gas are cheap. It's a well engineered good looking easy to fly bird.

Reason for the purchase was my wife wasn't going to fly in the IV-P on long trips anymore. Honestly she hated the noise of switching fuel tanks and mixture/prop changes. She is happy so I'm happy!

He wants to get an F-5 fighter. Read his history into this sort of thing having owned a T-33 and an F-86 Really nice guy he loves airplanes.

Heres the squawk list:

Attitude indicator failed: $2700 Duncan
Tires: $1000, dry rotted
Left audio panel: ebay, $600
DME: forget that, not worth fixing.
Air conditioner compressor: $1,900 including a new dryer and R134A

That's it, machine has only flown 30 hours in the last 2 year; largest risk of the transaction.

Adding Rosen Visors; other than that the machine is sound.
