Thanks, guys, that's what I thought but just wanted to confirm. By the way, my brother (and hopefully one day Citation co-owner) just soloed after only 5 hours flight instruction!

Do you get a chance to inspect the plane before the auction?
It says engines "Currently TBO", but from what I now understand you might be able to do a HSI and be good to go under 91. I wasn’t aware that 501’s can be equipped with a stick shaker and single point refueling…

Single-point fueling is new to me. Could mean that one of the fuel caps is frozen shut due to corrosion. I suppose you could fuel one tank and use fuel transfer to keep the imbalance within limits. Or maybe they mean each wing has a single refueling point. Very handy.

They rot outside at Ft Lauderdale and the corrosion is terrible. I bought one once and paid about that for it. It was so corroded after 1 year outside that I sawed the wings off after it made its last flight on the ferry permit. I’m absolutely convinced that even a month outside fundamentally changes these airplanes! These airplanes have myriad of sensitive relays and when one gets corroded they wreak havoc on the systems.

So is it 9 seats total, or does the right side barrel seat have two sets of seatbelts to make a total of 10?
How easy/expensive is it to change the rear divan back to two seats and restore the aft potty? Any paperwork involved? It's the only 501 I've ever seen with 10 seats. All the rails are still there so it would be fairly easy to convert back to a regular configuration but I'm convinced the aft divan with the two captain's seats in the club arrangement with aft baggage mod is the best interior set up. It's a limo in the back and has more space than a Citation II. I'm also anti-galley (it's heavy and the equivalent of your junk table next to your door to the garage). AVCON has the STC for both the side Divan and the Aft Divan. I think Sierra had their own aft divan too. Potties in 501s are utterly useless. These are private airplanes so the bucket under the side divan is totally sufficient for my needs.

These pictures won't do it justice but it gives a good amount of space back in the hell hole. Both of these pictures are looking back from the baggage door opening. There is also a few feet forward.
