How special you are that they are holding one of the first off the line for you instead of the 84 others who have already put money down on a contract.

Yeah, I believe that... sure... absolutely...

Go do it, then.

Oh... what's wrong Mike? Jealous?

I can see this thread going the way of the SF50 thread with you. "It can't be done. None will ever be delivered". "They'll never be certified". "MU2 is the the only plane that should be flying"..... blah blah blah.

It’s a beautiful jet and Western Aircraft here in Boise is a dealer, so I’ll get to lust after it up close and personal.

Great Video and two amazing aircraft. The PC24 should change the game for biz jets.

Am I the only one that thinks the paint schemes are poorly done? It seems like all the Pilatus I see have odd graphics. Its like the graphic designer is trying too hard to stand out and not working with the flow, lots of random details that do not go with the plane.

Dont get me wrong, I would own and fly one of those odd graphics any day.

Mike

They say they will build 84 over 3 years of production, ~28 per year.

For single pilot jets, that will be about 10% market share. Textron, Embraer, Honda, are each going to make more units than Pilatus over that time frame.

They just aren't going to build enough of them to have a profound impact on the market.

I'd heard you can't count TRs for runway numbers. Seems a shame to not be able to.

TRs may fail.

Similarly, you can't count on having both engines for takeoff.

Jets are held to a much higher standard when it comes to performance.

Unless you can bend the rules.

The NG 737s do incorporate TRs into landing distance charts.

No one went out of their way to let pilots know the rules had been altered though

This was a factor in that Southwest landing overrun at MDW. The pilots thought their reversers would give them performance above charted.

I was a 737 CA at the time and I found out the rules had been changed when I read the accident report.

Back on topic;

The video was cool and the PC-24 looks like a fantastic machine.

If I could buy one I would.

What price did they quote you?

AFAIK it is the only jet in it's class (by a long shot) with INS. That plus roomier cabin, cargo door and unimproved ops capabilities will put it so far out in front it ain't even funny. Some good heads over there in Switzerland. They are acting on what they see as a changing landscape.

That video was excellent. I’m rarely moved by marketing. Great job Pilatus!

It didn't get that far as I'm not buying a $9MM airplane..... that said I'm pretty sure the price is around $9MM. It was offered to me because a deposit holder was trying to back out. They haven't called me in a few weeks so I'm sure someone jumped on it.

I've only been in the mockup at NBAA but it is incredible. XLS sized and single pilot with a cargo door and your bags stay in the cabin with you.

The profound impact is the 24 will hold its value unlike the other jets that you mentioned. Pilatus has a history of creating their own markets and preserving aircraft values for owners by not flooding the market just because they can. They are a private company focused on long term results.

I agree. I got goosebumps watching it. One of the best marketing videos I've ever seen. But it's more than fluff marketing. These planes are magnificent.
