you can do better, 185KTAS on 14.5gph LOP at FL190. Try 31"MP, 2300 RPM 14.5gph. This should give you at TIT in the 1570 range. Just my experience.

Can I guess? Using the words "not remotely close" is a bit much. They are both great airplanes.

My dentist had a T210 and always used to badmouth my Bonanza in very passive aggressive ways. He would always wait until both of his hands were in my mouth and I could not respond to his comments. I am glad that little prick retired, a takedown was imminent.

Yes, small man syndrome. He forgets that when both aircraft have the same HP applied to them the Bo is always faster.

It’s not a matter of being faster. It’s a matter of being capable to perform my mission. I fly a 491 Nm trip out of 8466 elevation runway with a load of 1580. You tell me what beach product can do that legally. By the way. I like the A36 and have flown them a lot. They fly like a dream. The only thing I don’t like is the sun on you face and the low useful load. I would never consider it for this trip though.

I have owned a B36TC and aT210N. 210 carries a lot more weight. In my opinion, the 210 is a much better turbo airplane. I have not flown a tn bonanza, just comparing the factory models.

I have not but the ones I’ve look at on the market have a useful load of around 1220 so it would not do my mission.

Reminds me of a guy I met in orange beach Alabama at the marina. He had a Cherokee six and would not stop talking about the load carrying abilities. He said speed really didn’t matter. A year later he shows up in a Columbia/cessna 350 at my hangar. He says he really doesn’t need to haul a whole lot weight anymore, but the speed was amazing.

Two guys arrive at their favorite 100 dollar burger joint and park on the ramp in front. One, in his B36TC and the other in his 210. The B36 guy opens the door and steps proudly out on the the wing and waves to the crowd while his adoring, smoking hot wife waits for him at the gate.

The other guy gets out of his Cessna.

The B36TC pilot’s good looking wife was waiting at the gate with the luggage he shipped ahead because he didn’t have enough useful load. The T210 was stuffed to the gills and looked like a clown car unloading all of its cr@p.

If you are skinny with few friends and don’t mind step climbing in the summer for CHTs- the B36TC wins hands down for style. Fat guys like me need the T210 for our passel of kids, dogs, and stuff.

Now think about this. The $100 hamburger joint is somewhere besides where he lives, right? That might have been "somebody's" wife, but not his. That's called a "girlfriend". :thumbup:

When I was a kid hanging around the airport, there was a drab looking Staggerwing kept there. The owner was from a town about 25 miles away. Some weekends, I'd ride out to the airport on my Moped and it would be gone. A few days later, it would show back up, but I never saw the owner. Finally, one of the adults told me the owner only used it to take trips with his girlfriend and kept it in Grenada so his wife wouldn't know.

:D Does this mean that all Beech owners are cads? :duck: :duck: :lol:
