My first plane was a 182. We traveled all over in it, and I got my instrument and commercial ratings in that plane.
Fond memories...
Enjoy that plane, Kyle! Fantastic response. Your gonna have to share w Kyle your progression to a 310. Particularly on account of the fact we caught him drooling all over one in the hangar at 28J when he was supposed to be focused on the Skylane. Probably left nose and hand prints all over that old tuna tanked 310.

Loved the airplane, hated the engine. On the balance, I have fond memories of the airplane with lots of family firsts in it. Need to hear more! Who hates a 470 continental? What happened?

How was the performance with gasoline vs 100LL?

On the lower compression O-470s (prior to 1977 when they went to the higher compression O-470U engine) there is a mogas STC for it. My 182 had the STC, although I never used mogas in mine.

Thank you all. My family and I are very excited. Planning trips already.
I’m currently a student pilot and looking forward to soloing in this baby very soon. Thus far, my training has been in a 172. I want to move right into IFR after my checkride.
I am having 22R painted in the next week and am looking at schemes. I attached my favorite so far. Let me know what you think.
Kyle
