I did not account for climb etc because as I said, I don't have access to all these POH's. It would be a wild guessing game without those. I counted cruise fuel flow even for climb. But in fairness, for descent as well, which in reality is less, so probably washes out. Kinda. Almost.

Penman, the efficiency numbers I get are pure calculations based on my numbers. They could be slightly off in real world. The Avanti numbers I got straight from an owner who emailed me:

"Well, here I am at FL350 burning 290lbs per side per hour and showing 364 KTAS"

For the CJ3 numbers that Alex provided, I used numbers from FL370 and 408kts cruise, as that seemed like a good realistic altitude to cruise at. If anything, the CJ4 range is probably too long. I don't think they'll do 1800nm with 1hr reserve. And the TBM was long range cruise, which is very slow, which skewers it that end. But I didn't have access to normal cruise numbers for the TBM.

For the Eclipse numbers, I'd like to see a little more fleshed out numbers. Yes, it might burn 500pph but at what speed?

I can add the M600 for sure, but then I would deduct 265nm from range as I calculated all at 1hr IFR reserves, so the range would be 1235nm.

1500 nm includes 45 minute reserves at normal cruise, so you could back off 15 minutes of fuel which would be 1434 nm, still 3 stops with 1 hour reserves. at LRC, could probably get 2 stops, but then would be too slow in my opinion.

Adam, the logic you're using to determine efficiency is incorrect. You're an artist man, not a mathematician..........you still in SA?
