I've owned a RV8 and now a RV7. Both are incredible, wonderful airplanes. Loved my Deb when we were traveling a bunch but, for now, the RVs give great fun, speed and aerobatic capability for much less in annual operating costs than the cross country Deb was costing me.

I really like that paint scheme.

What are your thoughts on both and why did you sell the 8 and get the 7?

My son (ex A-10 pilot) and I both loved the 8 but, as others have said, if you're going to be taking passengers, especially younger grandkids, the 7 is better in that you can keep an eye on them. Passenger comfort is also arguably better in the 7. Other than that, they are about the same.
