I have agreed to buy a seamax. Now I. Can fly between my waterfront houses in three hours instead of driving 2.5. Still flying the Travelair. But it belongs to my son.

Congrats. Just last week, I signed a letter of intent to purchase a Cessna Caravan on amphibs. I made the amphib decision at the last second, because I had intended to buy it on wheels. But with a waterfront home, I figured the loss of speed was worth it, for the convenience gained.

Used seamax half a5 price. Can fly this one IFR if I need to. Better useful load and range. I give Payload a challenge.

My question would not be about the a5 (underpowered and not widely available).
My question would be whether you considered the searey and what your thought process was there.
Thanks for sharing, and congrats!
