>> What are you coming up from?
Dreams. This is our first plane.
>> What is your mission?
600lbs., 600 miles, fast trips, very high percentage business.
>> What else did you consider?
Long story there. First considered a 35 Bonanza two years ago. Then, moved up to considering a G36, then a 58 Baron, then briefly King Air 90, then 701 Aerostar, and finally settled on a Meridian 9 months ago. Took this long to find one. We also briefly considered an EVOT and a TBM700B. The EVOT kind of was a bit too raw for me and the TBM a bit too rich operationally. The PA46T seems like a sweet spot for our mission.
>>How is it equipped avionics-wise?
Totally stock G1000.
I'll post more pictures next week. Interior is tan. Very nice and comfy.

Say what??? That's certainly the first time I've ever heard anything like that. Ok you need to provide a LOT more detail now. Are you saying you are starting from scratch??? Are you going to fly yourself? What is the plan?

John's first post here on BT: "My wife is an airline captain with mostly turbine, but some piston G/A experience. I've got 140 hours in mostly C-172's. My wife is the primary pilot." Congrats John!

I now have 250 hours and an IRA. Still, going to be copilot for a while. Having flown a bit of SRM, it will be good to have us both on board to handle things. My wife is at Legacy this week for training, then she'll go up to Malibu for a bit more in our actual plane before bringing it back to KNQA where we have a hangar. Some time next year (up to the insurance company), I'll go to Legacy for training before flying it solo. I really like two pilot flying though. It makes life so much easier, enjoyable and safer.
