I sold my Baron back in early spring to a very nice BT'er. I began my search for something bigger (cabin class), faster, ability to go higher, turbo charged, and preasureization.
We'll, I settled for everything but preasureization. I just didn't want to give up my short field ops, so preasureization was going to have to wait. So I searched and found a very nice, original 1981 "C" Navaho with the Panther conversion. I purchased it from Mike Jones at Mike Jones aircraft in Tennessee and it was a smooth transaction and both sides did what they said they were going to do. I highly recommend him if you're in the market for a Navajo.
I've always been a Beech guy but I must say, this is a can do airplane. I have a few photos that aren't the best but I know photos or it didn't happen.

That was kind of the great thing about the SJV. Work there all week in a nice house that didn't cost a fortune and you can fly to any of the sights of CA in under 1.5 hours. I've farmed in the SJV and Fresno State was my alma mater (hence my avatar). Cool plane Rick. Are you in one of Shanairs old hangars?

No I'm south of there in the last hangar on the field. It's a new corporate hangar. I'm in with a bunch of King Airs that are out for maintenance. It's usually a little more crowded.

You'll love it. The Navajo is the best in its class. I had the Chieftain for a while and it was a great party plane. Tons of room, especially with wing lockers (where we put kids, and anyone less than 6 feet).
You won't find it appreciably faster than the Baron. Does good with short field. Turbo is nice, good up to low 20s. Maintenance is great, but the gear can be quirky. Thanks Larry. So far I'm having a lot of fun with it. Headed to Idaho this weekend for some back country flying. I'm amazed how it performs in short field ops for a cabin class plane.....

Good looking airplane Rick. Low total time etc. can't go wrong. Congratulations!
