Congrats! I just moved up to a 850. Working out the nuances between that and my old 700. Great plane.

Beautiful plane! I flew a 700C2 for 3 years and loved it.
The M2 range is greater than any TBM however. But I'm sure the cost would be $1 million greater than the TBM.

I had the opportunity to fly it so I jumped at the chance. I think what got me was the fact that the M2 did exactly what I expected. The 930 however did way more than I expected.

Darren, Welcome to the club. Nice looking plane. I have never flown anything as capable as a TBM and still be able to land in 2500 ft. Username Protected wrote: TBM seems like such a perfect airplane for so many missions. Pictures like this make me wish I wasn't too tall for one.
John, just how tall are you? The previous owner of my C2 was 6 8 ish. He had the copilot O2 mask moved to the back of the pilot seat so it would not come close to his head. You know you can reposition the pilot seat as far back as you want and the rudder pedals are adjustable forward. I am 6 2 and there is way more room than I need or am used to.

My favorite color scheme! Nice! Fly the wheels off that thing and don't push the weather for 50 hours. We think the TBM is about as perfect as you can get for small airports, speed and comfort. The more you fly it the better you will like it. My biggest observation about flying a TBM is they go fast but they will also go slow really fast. The lasts notch of flaps is always an exercise in major configuration change which is hard to get used to and watch so you keep the nose up on landing. Congrats.

Another choice is Cracker Barrel restaurant at the corner of Lee Vista and Semoran Blvd. Less than 5 mins from SimCom.

I'm not that tall - 6'5" with a long torso. Maybe I'm wrong, I sat in one years ago and from what I recall, the ceiling was very close to my head but I did officially fit in the seat.

SimCom Orlando is great. The Homewood and Hyatt across the street are the best places to stay. Neither will blow you away but are newer and clean. Longhorn and Carrabas are the best restaurants. The Hibachi place is pretty good too. I wish there were more breakfast options than Ihop and Dennys but I haven't found one.
MCO does "Simcom Discounts". Jason, Thanks for the advise. Carrabas is my favorite restaurant. I look forward to the training for sure. Darren

Leave 10 of torque in until the last half second before touchdown and keep the nose up w gentle pressure. Will make landing way easier.
