However they're at least 2 years out and still in the design stages, albeit with a running prototype.

The company president is an active participant in that VAF thread, and makes note of receiving deposits from RV builders.. They're still 2.5 years out; I hope they have the financial backing to survive that long.

Whatever happened to the 300 hp turbine that Rolls Royce was working on about 10 years ago? I know I've asked before, but it seems to have just fallen off the earth.

Rules of Thumb
A turbo prop burns 30% more fuel than a piston per HP...
A Jet burns 30% more fuel than a turbo-prop...
