I'm a bonanza S35 owner by choice, but I still fly my friends 172 for fun every once in a while. On a recent trip to Texas I took my 5 year old, and spent some time introducing him to why Dad loves airplanes so much. We had a great time, and I made a silly movie for the day: https://youtu.be/2L1BOqRzh58

Quote: I'd ride in a child seat myself for lunch at the Hard 8. And when you're done, you and your clothes are perfectly smoked... We have gotten a lot of catering from there, good stuff. Jeff PS: Hicks is great for breakfast though. Been there a few times when we are in Alliance.

My kids flew on "Bill's no Frill's"! They slept a lot too. Awesome Video!

Thanks guys! It was a really turbulent day actually. (I guess it's just my superior piloting skills that let him sleep onboard? Clearly had nothing to do with the heavy food, warm sunshine, and droning of the slow Cessna propellor?). He doesn't sleep on the Bo yet, that's for sure. Especially with me still all over the place on the controls. It's interesting, my wife and I started flying again as soon as he was born, and he's never really shown any interest in airplanes until this trip. And it was the preflight that got him interested. We talked about how he controls work, and the important job of checking to ensure everything was safe and right. That's when the gears started turning and the questions started flowing. I hope to keep him interested enough that someday I get a ride in the back of a baron to Oshkosh.
