Very nice, Dan! I flew a friend's Mooney 205 this weekend, but didn't realize they were so rare!

Can you talk a bit about the refurb process for the interior plastics? Whose textured paint to you recommend?

The paint is not textured itself, it's the way it is sprayed. The paint is sprayed normally to coat the part, then the gun is setup to "spatter" paint onto the part with a second coat which is the process to create the texture.

We use Axalta paints which used to be DuPont. Sherwin Williams also has a paint often used for this called Jet Flex.

Incredible Dan! Congratulations!

I have been to the SureFlight facility where Dan and his entire team gave me a thorough and extensive tour of their entire operation. I was incredibly impressed.

We did this between paying jobs. So we will work on it and then put it down and then work on it again and put it down It took us about half a year doing it that way. If it was a job we scheduled it would be more like 2 months giver or take a week or so.

The only thing better than the write up is that finished product of a plane. WOW! The paint job is one of my all time favorites. Well done!

They did a P-51 wing for me in the past.
And a bunch of avionics in the Cessna 182.
Nice neighbors to have next door. :D

That's one groovy Mooney.

I still remember the inside cover of Flying magazine from 87....Mooney ad showcasing the 201, 205 and 252. Weird how some things stay with you.

Best,
Rich

I have seen their pant, very good, the avionics guy is fantastic. I have had some work done and plan to use them for any future work on my bonanza.

Bravo on a Top-Shelf makeover!!! Very nice. Thank you for changing out the windows so I don't have to reel in my seat, staring at another beautiful paint job with milky windows! (I have window issues)

Home run. :dancing: :dancing: :dancing:

Dan,

Did you put new digital fuel senders for the tanks to get a better read on quantity with the EDM930? I am looking at the EDM930 for my Mooney J Model and my limited research suggested that the fuel senders needed to be replaced. Your thoughts?

Thanks.

Jud
